Anyone have vintage garage gear on display or in use? I have several some used to be in every service bay. Snap-on, Sun, AC, you name it.. Here is one of mine AC ST 200 this is a 1970 model.

Phil, wouldn't mind having that light bar in background, except you would want more than what my roll back is worth, lol. When my son was a youngster, he busted mine not having a car bound down on the bed...kids! I have a Sun VAT 40 on a cart I gave a whopping $7 at the vocational school auction up the road from my farm.

Are you saying you need an F/S aerodynic for your Roll back? That light bar in the background is the mini Aerodynic from the 1982 Z-28 Indy Pace Car.

I just posted this over the weekend but recently found and purchased this Sun 504 unit which will see full time duty in the shop. I also located and am in the process of getting one of those huge Sun Diagnostic centers from the 70's which will also see full time duty.

Love the CD Ignition and the Sun machine ! Wish I had the space for the Sun equipment, I've passed on several & yes it haunts me!!

Here is a neat little AC item keeping with the ignition theme. It's used to set the dwell angle, dated 8-59.

Rick,
That machine looks like it was never even used. I'm GREEN.

It wasn't used much, that is for sure. Went back last night and bought another pick up load of tools and gadgets. She had a briefcase sized oak box with bearing cages that was meant to hang on the wall. Inside was a parts list that said these were all for Indian and Harley bikes. Based on the font it appeared to be from maybe the 40's. Went to pick it up last night and she decided to keep it because she thought it was neat....... Dammit!

Not a gadget or a scope, but ran across this at a flea market this weekend and had to buy it. My dad had one he worked on for prob 30-40 years, and I have to admit it brought a tear to my eyes as it was such a part of my dad and his work to make a better life for his family. Rest in peace dad, I miss you every day.

I'll be honest Sam I haven't had a chance to check. I was told it does but isn't that standard fare at a flea market, never bought anything that didn't! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif I will have a look in the next few days and let you know. I paid $10 for it.

I like it Damien! Just keep in mind that if it was made in America, in order to get it to work "down" your way, you may have to turn it upside down and rotate it in a CCW fashion in order to get it to work. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif

I use this one regularly. Has the claw foot design. Recently set a car down on it (doh!) and broke one of the wheels. Lisle no longer makes replacement wheels. Found one on ebay that I was able to extract from the later model holder and replaced the broken one. This works better than the 6 wheel ball bearing model I had, so I gave the "new" one to one of my sons.

It is marked Edmonds School District, assuming from a Auto shop class room environment.

That's amazing that you still use those. LOL, my new one from Craftsmen is occasionally stubborn to move so I can't imagine using one of those "older" ones. Kudos to you.

I was in Ft.Lauderdale a couple of weeks ago and was lucky enough to get a tour of a large private collection housed in a beautiful 30K.square foot warehouse.Besides the 85 cars there was a Texaco service station, diner and grocery store. The owner hired the Beach Boys to play at his wedding anniversary party a couple of years ago! What I really liked was the old service station equipment on display.Overly restored...looked like jewelry, but beautiful! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2017/02/full-5177-57698-dscn1567.jpg

$100K.cash for the Beach Boys to play 1.5 hours.Only Mike Love and Al Jardine were there with backups.I asked the person who takes care of the collection how often the owner comes by....about 5-6 times a year! He's busy traveling apparently.Attached to the warehouse is a 12 bay restoration garage. My cousin belongs to the South Florida Mercury Car Club so he was my in to see the collection. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2017/02/full-5177-57705-dscn1576.jpg
