Hey everyone I'm not usually a big fan of these post because it depends on a lot of things. But I need your help. 1971 rs z28 has all papers it is the real deal. Auto trans body is very nice no holes could do with paint job it's 20 years old been sitting in a barn. The inside is ok but could do with new carpet and good clean. No panels have ever been cut, now the big part it's missing the original engine it has a 454 cam, holley carb the usual, any help would be great to guide me in the right ball park.

Hard one, papers help, NOM engine and auto hurts. I would state non investment, 6-10k w/o pics (color can meant a lot) and interior description. Totally redone and restored driver quality frame on, I think they are still in the mid to upper 20's NOM. Good colors, orig engine 4 speed cars are in the 30's.
If you are considering an investment, based on the description, you might have more in the car then it is worth unless it is a super desirable color ( Blue, Orange ) or has a really unique RPO or history.
Pics would help a lot.

Also a big difference weather it is a Non RS car or a RS car.
RS cars are worth more.
Oops my bad, just noticed it is a RS car.
Show us some pictures.

I'd say that a running RS/Z with a strong runnung Big Block that can be cleaned up and is semi-presentable may be worth 10-15k....

Rs does help. I missed that too. Getting better but still a tuff market. The second gens still have not hit their stride yet, especially the L78's.
