working on a 69Z and wanted to find the correct bolt that holds the T block on the flexible line to the bracket that is attached
to the rear end housing. Upon doing so - I discovered a few things.....

1. it is a special bolt that has a shoulder on it
2. The org bolt (which I found at a buddy's place) does not fit in the today brake line (got mine from in line tube)

Anyone come across this before...the bolt is not listed in AMK and looks to be a one off for the car. Also - does not seem that
anyone makes this bolt with the shoulder on it and they just use a reg bolt without the shoulder.

Hope this was not to confusing...

Appreciate any input or your experience with this.

it's not a "bolt". The fastener is actually scotch tape! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/whistle.gif

Eddie Yes I have also seen that on some cars. I had a few RSC bolts with the oversize shoulder for that application. Rich.

Ed,
The correct bolt or the norm for your Z28 should be a non shouldered bolt "RSC" head marking and I believe there was also a "E" head marking bolt. The shouldered bolt that your referencing are usally seen on Chevelles from my experience and even the bracket is different than the Camaro 12 bolt bracket.

Dave, thanks for the thoughts on this - I did pull one out of my low mile z and it was non shoulder bolt. However the AIM has a part number for a bolt that I cannot find a cross ref in bolt catalog....so im thinking it is special type ??

I'll send you a picture of a shouldered one that I have, along with the bracket to see if its the same.

Ed,
This assembly came off a Chevelle 12 Bolt rear and not a Camaro 12 Bolt. The head marking on the bolt is "CP"
