Hi Gang,
I listed my $800 Nikon D3000 camera and lens kits for sale at no reserve which is currently @ $76 or 9.5% of it original value. I know there are a number of members here who enjoy photography or want to learn more which is why I'm posting it. There is one small scratch on the upper left hand corner of the LCD screen (photos within the auction) otherwise it is mint.
Feel free to ask any questions! I've listed a couple of other cameras for your viewing pleasure as well. All great stuff for the advanced or novice alike.
Thanks,
Dan

So this is one of the newer cameras that don't need film like my old 35mn Chinon that I have had for long time? Is it pretty easy to use for taking pictures then?

Hi Barry, the photos in digital cameras are stored to a memory device like a computer stores files to a hard drive. Yes, very easy to use and very high quality can be had with minimal effort.
Best of luck with the new electronics.

Hi Howard, great question and no I do not. I never purchase them for this unit but they're all over Newegg.com and Amazon.com if you want to snatch them up?

So Dan which Canon did you buy?
I recently (6months) purchased a 60D with battery grips and a 18-135 lens. I've shot over 10,000 frames in 6 months.
Then picked up a used 50mm 1.8 Prime lens for $100. which acts as a 80mm on the crop sensor cameras.
I've got my eye on the 100-400L for sporting events and races...before the Masters next year for sure!
I debated between the Nikon and the Canon...
Canon won because of the quality and selection of Glass, their L lenses are weather/dust sealed and the photos are amazing.
FYI the 50mm 1.8 is a great value for a lens with quite a large aperature.
The 50mm 1.2 is the L series lens and is over $1000 unless you are shooting in LOW LOW light the 1.2 is difficult to justify.
*1.2 lets in more light than the human eye.
