hello Guys.

anybody have any good pics on how the tow tabs mount on a 72 nova? it should be a no brain er but nothing lines up or meets the angle of the dangle. if it mounts on how i think they go on, it will bend the lower bumper. do you need to drill holes in frame also? nothing lines up to even give me an idea how they should go on. thanks all for your time.

I think there is a decent pic here. I do have the original I structions on my pc I can post them tomorrow. I've had good success bolting them up, though not everyone drills the extra holes.

thanks Paul, that helps a little. the bolt that goes thru the bumper and tow tab are at different angles. if i tighten that bolt it will bend the bumper, nothing on the frame lines up also. a good pic is worth a thousand words. thanks. Jim

Looking good Jim. Mine came in today.
How many drill bits did it take to get the holes in the frame?
(BTW, the local store called and wants all their milk crates back) LOL

Paul, I will send you a pic when I get them mounted.
Right now my spoiler is blocking mounting and I don't want to butcher it to have both.

What amperage are you pulling from that alternator
to require such a belt ??? LOL

I'm no Nova guy but the bumper in the original photo looks too "vertical" to me.

The end of the bumper seems like it should follow the line down formed by the headlamp trim, which would take the front face of the bumper and angle it back a bit; Mayhem's fits a bit more like I would expect.

Am I out to lunch on this?

Hi Keith. Thanks for pointing that out. Front end is all loose and not aligned I'm putting the car back together. Thanks for the concern though

Could also be a repro bumper, as they don't have the same angle on the ends. The originals do indeed have the same angle as the eyebrow molding.

This is a repro:
