I own a copo that in 1984 was in super chevy and was listed as having the orig p.o.p from queen city but has been lost somewhere down the line, I have a ncrs document now that states it was delivered to queen city at least.

i can tell you the queen city dealer stocked c. o. p. o camaros . Lots of mom and dad race teams in the ohio valley with 4 drag strips within 20 miles. They sold a bunch of them. The norwood plant was just about 3-4 miles up the i-75 highway

I bought my old L89 and it was from there, there was also a green zL1 that the guy had a choice and took the l89 shen he was 18 ! both cars couldnt sell because they were way too expensive The L89 wasnt put into service until 1970 and it is a jan 69 car [approc 4800.00 car] I have alot of pics and stuff from the dealer, and yes they sold alot of neat muscle cars.....

i had a good pipeline for info from qc but the high performance salesman and the used car manager both passed. in 1969 the cincinnati reds had a 100 years celebration year book and in that book is a picture of about 9 copos line up in cincinnati reds colors of white and red. They sold the heck out them at 3500.00 and let joseph chevrolet sell the higher prices 1969 yenkos that had a higher price point.

I interviewed a salesman from Joseph while doing the book research. Cool story about his 1969 Z/28 demo and "Crackle Pipes" A local cop kept giving him tickets for noise and he kept mailing them to GM. True story. Joseph and Queen did have different market segments.

Joseph chevrolet on colerian ave was a dealer who opened in the county suburbs of the west side of cincinnati. As time went on people went less into the downtown to buy their cars. The queen city was right in the downtown and eventually went out of business(1983) when people moved more out into the suburbs. In 69 i think joseph they sold 5 yenko camaros and 5 yenko chevelles . The COPOs were sold at queen city and any dealer close to it had to get them from them . The queen city chevrolet also had 2 1967 yenko camaros but did not order any 1968 yenkos.

Thanks for all the info guys, To the reply about the l89-zl1 a few years ago I had a 17,000 mile rg rs l89 with p.o.p. and window sticker (real ones) stickered for over 5K , I think Charlie eventually ended up with it, not sure where its at now. hope it has a good home .
