Appears to be a pretty nice car. Does anyone know the history of the car?

On eBay last year also @ Mecum Indy 2013 too, links below.
Past postings here and elsewhere but few details ever to back up originality claims?
If all's as great as it sounds, why not lay it all out and get the car sold?
Also, have the paperwork "copies" appeared more recently than the car has been known?

Its a shame that a car restored to that level did not have the rot repaired properly. It's going to have to be taken down all the way to see what else might be hidden under that paint.

Otherwise nice looking car.

I hear fully restored L89 and expect a lot more.

Why no pic of the engine stamp, trans stamp, rear stamp, docs?
Repop door panels on a true L89? Really?

Lots of other things (besides all the "happy marks") to pick apart. Needs a "CAUTION FAN" sticker.

I think it would be cool if it is real. Just not very well executed for such a rare car if it is the real deal.

Here are some pictures I took of it at Mecum Indy in 2013.

It looks like someone put lipstick on a pig. That car needs to be stripped to a shell, and there are issues visible. I am sure there are many surprises hidden.

Just a question.... was it common for Norwood to use
the Celsius scale on coolant markings??

Also his "Story Board" misspelled Pennsulvania

If anyone put the antifreeze markings on, it would be the selling dealer, not the factory.

I worked at a dealer, and we never put any such marks on the car.

The dealers that my Dad and I worked for used antifreeze markings , always -20 put on with a light colored touch-up paint, to show that the car had its pre-delivery inspection completed .

"Also his "Story Board" misspelled Pennsulvania"

Not to mention having a push "buttom" radio , "auxliary" lighting and "raytinted" glass . I can see a job opening in the editing department of that sign company.

Could be real, but the ad isn't proving it.
The car has been around for a long time - I've known about it for 15 years. Axle and trans are MIA.
Shipper is repro. Supposedly has an invoice, but I've never seen it, nor any detailed pics.

Thanks for adding the VIN to the thread. That always helps later. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif
