Does anyone know where you could get single engine numbers like a fender emblem?
Not the crappy auto parts chrome letter type, but the factory looking ones.
I need 6 fives, to make two "555"s.

Since it was not a factory offered size, they don't seem to exist. Even among the after market ones that say Stroker underneath them.

Jeez! Yeah, a little proud of them aren't they?
Not sure I need them that bad. I will keep looking.
Thanks though.

I've got lots ot 5's from new Dodge trucks if you want. We strip them off before we wrap the trucks.

Pontiac 455 rocker emblems might do the trick...requires some cutting and grinding with a bit of white paint, probably, but it'll look factory GM.

Got a pic? Size? Are they the chrome ones, or do they have a colored inset like above?

That still comes out to $100-120 for 2 pairs. Ouch. I'm not cheap, but surely there are cheaper single numbers out there.
I am not opposed to creating them and painting the insert color, I just can't see spending that much for freaking engine size emblems.
Thanks though.

I have the same issue. I need a "434" emblem.
Have you seen these?

Not those exact ones, but similar. Still, $16 each. Ouch. $96 + shipping.
If I have to go to a freakin junk yard and scrounge them, as long as the chrome is good, I can repaint the inner.
I just can't justify the cost. It is ridiculous.
Thanks.

Cool.
Not a bad idea. I might try the same! Good luck on your search.

Just a sample for pics - you can scrounge those on Pontiac forums or used on eBay MUCH cheaper

I have looked at Ebay, and every search possible. The only outrageous ones I could find were some crap out of Korea.
Sadly, I ordered them. They are single numbers, but are very close to the right ones. At least they are chrome with white centers.
Now how long they will stay on the car is another story. I will keep looking.
Thanks.

Send a note to Chip Foose. I noticed on the coming attractions that he did a 555 on one of this seasons cars.

Pm me your address, and I'll send you some 5's. If nothing else, they can go on your toolbox! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif
