View Full Version : EVERYBODY NEEDS A MOTOR IN THEIR MAN CAVE!!!

I have been working on this little project since early fall. This is the 327 Chevy block that was in my first car, a 1969 Nova, when I was 15 years old. The motor is mocked up exactly the way I had it back in the day with the original Day 2 Speed Parts. The car unfortunately is long gone.. But it is cool to still have the motor!! I acquired this little idea of putting the motor in the basement from Big Steve, 68l30.... It's a cool conversation piece!!

Enjoy... Rich

Back in the late 60's at Cannon AFB my buddy and I put together a 327 in our room at the barracks -- the 1st Sgt wasn't at all amused.

I'm trying to ID the original applicaton. My best guess is '69 full size (or Camaro) 235hp/327, as I think those heads have the markings of the '185' castings used on the 235hp engines. Am I close?

EDIT: nevermind - I see that it was a canister-type filter on the block originally, so that would put the block 62-67 era?

I planned on parking this in the living room but the better half didn't like that idea so I had to put it in the basement toy room. It is pieced together with mostly junk parts for super cheap and it has no internals.

Yes Sir. It's one of the advantages to being a Fabricator. About the only advantage... I always say,I work in the worlds best store. It has everything, as long as I design it / build it! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/scholar.gif
