For me, obviously the cars are great and what brings us together, but what I most look forward to is seeing old friends and seeing the smiles. For many of us, this is a once a year visit. It really reminds me of the old Supercar Reunions, and the great times we have had there. We have a hell of a family here and so many great stories to be told and memories to be made!
So tell me...what car, person or activity do you most look forward to at MCACN this year?
A couple more for me; seeing the transition from the big empty building that I have been staring at on my big floor-plan on my desk for months now, turning into an incredible display of cool cars and vendors filed with cool people. Also, when my "crew" arrives and they clearly show the same excitement level that I have for what is about to happen. What a truly awesome crew we have. Whew!
Each year when I arrive, (before the insanity kicks in) I think, Wow...do we really have enough to fill this place up? And of course, within hours, the place is buzzing and before you know it, we have an absolutely mind boggling show.
THANKS go out to each and every one of you who support what the MCACN team does, and especially to my fellow MCACN partners for allowing me to literally live my dream. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif

Friends, that and for a few days we are all in our own little world. Everything makes sense though our brains are on overload. We are surrounded by some amazing and rare history that's gathered in one place, and sometimes maybe never again. Having the best of the best all come together for a trip back in time .....Priceless.
Thanks Bob & crew ..... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif

It's all about the people...the cars are the common denominator...and are cool as heck...but the people are the BEST! Thanks to all who put this show on-so we can all reap the benefits of their hard work and monetary layout!

I was totally overloaded last year!
Mind blown.
My favourite part is meeting car guys from all over!!
I am pretty E-Chatty about cars but am a very quiet guy normally, MCACN gives me a chance to mingle with guys who really know there stuff!

That being said Bob you should see one of these years if you could set up a time lapse camera and film the Thursday/Friday set up from start to finish. I would personally love to see that fast forwarded footage. Maybe even the Sunday night tear down to compare to.
Your commments remind me of this shot taken around midnight on Sunday a few years ago when we were the VERY last people to leave (due to me offering to help someone deliver cars....never again!) and thanks again to you and Vicki coming back with dinner for me when you two desperately needed sleep and not worrying about me!

Meeting liked minded folks who share this passion.
Thanks for bringing the best of the best under one roof.
Looking forward to the L-89 display, barn finds, SCW, and hopefully I get to chat with Ken Barnhardt for a brief moment. Last year I waited and waited... he had a line of people.

My participation with MCACN has been evolving, first as a attendee, last year as a display particpant (66 442,W30) and this year as an apprentice to Steve Shaugers Team. Will be arriving on Thursday evening. Will always have time for a good conversation with friens I have met over the years.

This is my first experience with MCACN. I never really owned a car that would have been worthy of it before! But, I have two very good reasons as to why I am so excited about coming to this event. Besides the overall anticipation of having a car in the "Ultimate" musclecar show this side of Alpha Centauri, these two items make me feel like it's 2:00am and I can't wait to wake up the parents at the first crack of daylight to see what Jolly Old St. Nick brought me!!!
As some saw on my introduction post, I am a pilot and after the tragic events of 9-11, lost my job like many of us did. During my short time at my former airline, TWA, I befriended a Captain I flew with who shared the same passion about cars that I did. You's guys know him as "Woj" on his username, and his real name is Phil Wojnarowski. Phil and I kept in contact over the last 13yrs while searching out flying jobs, but most importantly, we kept up with each other's car buys and sells. I don't know how many cars have come and gone in that time between the two of us, but we both are coming to this show with our "Super Cars" in hand. It'll be nice to see a friend that I haven't seen in over a decade around the one thing that has kept us in contact with each other for so long: CLASSIC DETROIT IRON!!!!
The other reason I'm beside myself is I entered my wife in the amateur modeling contest being held there with the hopes of her getting chosen as a finalist and on the cover of MCG (a big one for me being a Mopar guy). I was informed by Vicki that she was selected to be a finalist, and I think I'm more excited about seeing her getting her photo taken with a professional photographer at "MY" show rather than having a car on display. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif Having my wife have fun at an event like this really completes this show on a personal level. She sees the passion I have when I talk about my cars, but she's usually standing in the background with not much to do. But this time, I get to watch HER do something fun and enjoy herself while I stand in the background and just watch. If she doesn't win, who cares? Just the fact she was chosen is plenty for me!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif
Looking forward to seeing you all there. I'm a newbie and don't know many guys on the site but I'm always up for meeting new faces!!
Cheers <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

Cars are the "Common Denominator" that gets everything started.......but after being involved in this site for 10 years now........the cars have faded into the background........they are still there, you can still see them, but they aren't that important anymore......The people met over those years are the real things that make events like this "Really" important.........Last year we were there for 8 hours and I spent maybe 30 minutes looking at cars....Great Times.....
