I found this SS in our local classifieds. After thinking about it a while I realized I knew the car.A friend of mine built it in the early 80s.It's not a numbers/original car.It was done specificly as a show car to run the circuit. Some of the procedures done on this car are fairly dated. This is one of those cars that sat on a pedastel and rotated over a bunch or mirrors. Here is a message I sent to the seller.I'm too lazy to rewrite it.:)What would you do with the car if you bought it?

Hello Dave.
I'm fairly sure it's the same car.I always remember it was odd that he had a 427 instead of a 454.If the block looks like it was ground/sanded down smooth to remove all the casting marks and sort of orange peal that castings have on the outside. They spent over a hundred hours on the block and heads getting them smooth.

The body was probably the straightest car I've ever seem.Almost perfect. The car was prepared by a guy named Brian. He and his father had a shop on Howden RD back in the 80s.It was a high end paint shop.Only guys with lots of money went there. He was one of the best.He died tragicly in his 40s of a heart attack.

The car was built specificly as a show car to run the circuit. It won best paint at almost every show.I don't remember the red gas tank.If the paint on the tank is very nice and not just a spray bomb then they did it.The car was shipped in an enclosed trailer where ever it went.Like I said. The black paint was absolutly flawless. The guy that owned the car had way too much money.Everything on the car was top notch and the best money could buy.

I would stop off at the nearest speed shop and replace the hideous steering wheel before it rolled into my driveway.
