Men: (And Women <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif )

Looks like I stumbled upon another Dodge 6-pack car to match the old Beater Bee. Just sealed the deal on a 70 Challenger T/A. Burnt Orange, black, all number's matching with the Broadcast sheet, Monroney Label, and original manuals. I'm pretty excited to have two Six Packs in the garage. One 440-6 and one 340-6. Do they make a 240-6? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif Hopefully not, since I'd have to get one of those too. I guess this ends the hunt for another A12 since I'm not sure how I'm paying for this one yet! I am taking donations if anyone has any of that stupid extra cash laying around. It's never good to have any extra money in your wallet. Back issues....you can't sit straight.....you buy stupid stuff.....oh wait...<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/whistle.gif I'll set up a fund for donations. Donate what you can, and as often as you can. Operators (me) are standing by!!!!!!!!! Thanks guys!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Pics to follow.

Thanks Guys! Hmmm, you may be onto something there Mike. I have Big Block Dodge, now a Small Block Dodge, and a SBC in my 64 Vette. Guess that seals it. I don't need to be convinced anymore. I'll just take one of Phil's cars. Maybe that nasty orange one he has. He'll never get around to it anyway!!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

Here's a few pics. Burnt Orange, black top/interior/stripe. A few things incorrect on the resto, but that's the fun part: non-painted bypass hose, non-dated hoses, no overspray on exhaust manifolds/trans, no undercarriage inspection marks, wrong year idle solenoid and incorrect wire lead to it, wrong ballast resistor, wrong ignition box. You know, all that trivial BS that, while any other human on the planet would say, "Dude! Nice car!" we all would say, "Can't believe he'd take that car our like that. What a disgrace. An injustice to humanity!!!!!"

No Gator Grain, but I wish! This car is actually an original non-vinyl top car as well as a Burnt Orange interior to match. When it was restored, those two items were changed and rightly so in my opinion. It can always be changed, but that black breaks up all that Burnt Orange and looks spot on IMO. Only about 5% of Mopes came with the Gator option and it's pretty rare. An interesting fact with those. They were only one color: Black. But when new, they were actually a dark brownish color from the final dye application. That wore off pretty quickly in the sun/weather, and as a result, the black color came through pretty quickly. I've seen it up close before, and it's pretty cool and draws in the crowd. But watch out for the PETA loving, Granola Eating, Sandal Wearing, Uneducated ASSumers out there. You might get egged when they think that's actually a real alligator top. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/thumbsdown.gif

Oh, MiniBee? I'll post him up tooo....Mmmmmmwwwhhhaahhaaahhaahhaaa.. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2014/12/full-18993-19532-image.jpg

Did that 340/6 originally come out of Yorba Linda, Ca.?

...and MiniBee. This is what happens when you have a little too much time on your hands, a few cans of leftover spray paint, and an overactive 6yr old mind. I mean, heck, they all make models of those pretty cars out there. Well, I wanted to make one of the Beater Bee and darn if I didn't nail it! Just need to do like Phil suggested and hit the train store for some liquid rust to paint on <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/whistle.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Originally delivered to Tustin Avenue, Dodge. You know the car, Bruce?? From what I understand, the car went to a guy in Frisco, TX, then a guy out of Baltimore bought it. The past 10yrs it's been in Cali. The Baltimore owner is now deceased.

Yeah, I'll be adding the tires and battery soon. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

If it was originally a Southern Ca. car (Tustin is in Ca., so ???) Then it may be the same car. I posted a few years ago on one of the Mopar forums when Dan Vasic was trying to get a T/A 340/6 display going...and noticed that they were trying to get one that color. Someone posted a pic of the car, and I asked the same question that I asked here...and it turns out that the car the guy posted a pic of was the one that I almost bought...as (the "then" owner) had history back to that area, etc.

This would have been around 1979-1980...I went to look at the car off of Yorba Linda Blvd., where the original owner lived. The car was always garaged, and had really low miles then. He was selling because he had a young family-and he wanted $3500 for the car. The car was actually too nice for me to use as a daily driver (would have been my first car) to go to and from college. I remember that it was killing him to sell the car....and that if I bought it....he wanted first "rights" to buy it back if/when I sold it. I ended up passing on it and bought a Nova...LOL

From what I got from the "then" current owner(who posted on the mopar forum)...the original owner had trouble selling the car...and eventually a used car dealer bought it and put it on their lot..with a lot of the parts removed. It went through a few owners until it got to him?

All I know is it's the only one I've ever seen in that color...and I love that color as much now....as I did then.

Congrats on the purchase...it would be cool if it was the same car!
