We've got every other kind of wheel thread going - anyone like chrome reverse wheels? I'll start with a picture of my Chevy II with "period" style '60s chrome OE wheels (technically not "reverse" wheels, but "reverse" offsets don't work on Chevy IIs). I've got vintage Cal Custom axle covers on the rear.

****** aren't you supposed to "paint" opposed triangles on chrome reverse wheels before mounting recap slicks ?? lmao.

CROCUS YELLOW & BLK. I BET....
raised rear hood too....I'd give up my Z in a heartbeat for that car....maybe 2 Z's. but not 3...

We had one running around town when I was a kid... funny thing is....a 350 horse car or a 300 horse 4 speed with a good tune would Dust those 396 boat anchors

The Z16 is a pic i collected. I just liked it more for the day 2 aspect, wheels, tow tabs, raised hood.

The 409 was my dad's friend- Ron Ruth. It says "get around" on the front fender and was well known around Willow Grove, PA throughout the 60's. It was a killer street race car but saw lots of action at Vargo too-and they had a blast with it!

Well that picture collection must be a honey trove.
That car is perfect as a Day 2.
The only thing I'd change is the title & plates.

I usually ran chrome reverse wheels on my '50's vintage cars. Here's my old '57 that I eventually cruised in American Graffiti. They only wanted cars that were period correct - no mags or items that weren't correct for '62 and earlier.

You can see I was in-progress of some custom spray can action.... Charlie

August 1963. Rears were reversed Buick outers w/ Chevy centers. The valve stems were on the inside. Made for a very clean looking rim.

You were hardcore to combine white T-shirts with inside-mounted valve stems!

One thing I noticed in this thread are the vintage pics showing cars with one type of wheel in the front and another in the back...That is the way I remember it too...but you rarely see anyone set up a day two car like that today...even thought that is the way it really was....
