Great color combo...no doubt. Why was it a color override? I thought that was an approved / recommended color combo.

Production numbers on canadian copo chevelles 17-20 produced , with approximately 9 being known.[not my data] Needless to say, some of the lowest production totals on rare supercars.

http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/2005/12/01/hmn_feature16.html Looks like 17 to me in this article. I know of 3 fake L89 camaros , one was bought at auction and then later returned. Nice dealer invoice with it though .

If its in Hemmings Muscle Machines it must be true. They also mention non-Yenko Copo Chevelles only had the 9566 option. There are some documented 9737 optioned Canadian sold Copo Chevelles.

Your car is the earliest of the Canadian shipped Copo Chevelles I have, call it the first until others are found.

The Hemmings article is based on older info
It says "and it is known that 17 COPO cars were sent to Canada."
that is true but was not all the vins

I think that comes from many years ago when they used to provide some of the microfiche sheet info with the Canadian documentation and they gave someone a sheet showing 17 COPO Chevelle vins that were sent to Canada but that was not all the vins.

This car can use an updated Canadian documentation report.
It has the same mistakes on it that was provided on another 427 COPO and when the owner asked them about it, they sent a new corrected report
