Yeah, there are a few still around. I forget the exact production number but I think there were around 20 to 25 built with most of them being 1966 and 1967s. The link you posted mentions small block Cheetahs. I don't remember ever seeing any info on any small block ones. There are a couple guys on the Canadian Poncho site that one one or more.

The "Green Cheetah" also had a aluminum head 427 BBC too. That is one good looking Beaumont too. You can see the 427 on the fender.

Interesting story about the green car. The owner at the time, George Pappas, drove for three days straight from Vancouver BC to the SCR, arriving late Friday night. The hotel was booked, but thanks to Bob Ashton, I got to share my room with him. What a car guy! I still have the black Cheetah t shirt he gave me.

Here's a couple more photos of Georges Cheetah. He's changed the stripe color to red. He and I grew up in the same part of town, but went to different schools, knew a lot of the same people. These photos are from September at the A&W in White Rock BC.

Great car. Reminds me of a few of the '67 Chevelle SS427's I used to see in the Auto Trader in the 80's. Those seemed to be mostly prevalent in the SC/NC areas.

Love to see more details of any genuine Conroy Cheetahs including TT's also any GM Canada Canada or original dealer paperwork.
Does George's car have the RPO A85 shoulder belts?
If it works, here's a shot of Conroy's '66 Cheetah strip car below.
