I need to pull my boat out of storage and fill it up, it will need about 130 gallons,
$2.69 here. For some reason we can buy everything else reasonable, just not gas.
$1.82 here today in one of the Cleveland Suburbs.

Yet another reason to move to AZ. They have some BS cap n trade tax that goes in to effect here that will raise it .10-.75 a gallon starting Thursday. How a broke state rolls..

$2.49 here in so cal. But come January 1st, we get a brand new .15 cent per gallon state gas tax called the "Carbon Tax". Also that day, all Illigal Imigrants can get California drivers Licenses! cant wait! I would move out of this state, but today is 65 degress and sunny and I am going for a drive.

Stop complaining...if they all get a driver license then they will need to buy gas....at least you'll get the gas tax revenue <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif

It's about $3.25/gallon here. But our Imperial gallon=4.5 U.S.quarts.Stay in California 69SSZL1....We've got lotsa immigrants taking advantage of the system here also and it's colder here! Our high gas taxes go towards our health system.

Mark,
Without the grocery store points discount....the price was $1.99 a gallon...California always seems to be .30-.40 cents higher than AZ??

So far here in NY best I found because of the tax is 2.61 yesterday but if I go across into Mass. it would be a lot lower.

Our gas has been around 1.85 and diesel 3.60. There's a Kroger grocery that has been a buck cheaper on diesel for some reason. I filled up for 2.54 yesterday. Usually you have to wait but saves $30 a fill up.

Any input on the reasoning behind the drop in fuel cost. There's a reason behind it their not doing it for our sake I'm sure of that!

The funny part about diesel was when I came home from Vietnam I worked for a oil delivery company and diesel was always less than gas guess they finally figured out during the 80s or after that there were more trucks on the road up the price on that to make more money.

Oil has dropped a lot to cause it.
Diesel isn't refined as much and should be cheaper. People that need diesel can't just stop using it like a person that can car pool or get on a bus. They are trying semis that run on compressed natural gas and heard problems with that. Our farm equipment is diesel only. Not heard of anything else they are working on. The emissions equipment drove up the costs and now we deal with plugged egr valves, odd emission devices that plug or quit working. All of it runs in heat and soot so it's prone to problems. Some are using urea to burn off soot. Might work but urea will freeze when we're not using the equipment.

52 week low (Now)
52 week high (Jun-Jul 2014)
$52.36
$101.33
Top off your motor homes / Boats & cars in storage now.
Our gas is going back up already. PA is adding more tax. Yea, it cost more so it must be better than the cheap stuff. Right!!!

Not exactly sure why but guesses have ranged from the US and Saudi's working together to hurt the Russians and Iranians to the Saudi's wanting to hurt our domestic drillers. Either way I don't see 5 dollar a gallon gasoline for a long time.
There are many contributing factors, but I think the recent production of oil found in Texas,Oklahoma & N.Dakota is one of the biggest. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/10/21/real-reason-gas-prices-are-falling/

Having owned a gas station / truck stop for going on 30 years (and working there for 43 years) I can tell you Diesel is refined more than gasoline. 8 / 10 years ago we were selling Diesel fuel that had 5000 parts of sulfur per million per gallon, and now the Ultra low sulfur Diesel we are selling is less than 5 parts of sulfur per million per gallon. This is what has caused the price of Diesel to be more than gasoline. Kind of like comparing Old Crow Wiskey & Gentleman Jack Daniels, the more you refine it the more it costs. I don't ever see Diesel fuel getting below the price of gasoline again.
Happy New Year everyone!
