Hey Gang,

FINALLY! The car is home in the garage. Where am I? Not home in the garage, of course <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/no.gif But the cool thing is I have a long LAX overnight today and the people I bought the car from are meeting me for dinner. So I get to meet them before I even see the car!! Can't wait to get home and get some pictures. This is the only teaser I have right now since Kelly pulled it in the garage and it's raining down in H-Town. I have a few things I want to correct right away (black out mufflers, correct a few things under the hood, replace the blower motor with an NOS unit, idle solenoid). Two Six Packs in the garage...a Tweleve Pack! Hmmmm...maybe I need a 6pk Roadrunner and Cuda so I can have a "Case" of Dodges in the Garges!!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

Are the mufflers supposed to be blacked out? Or is that just owner preference?

Steve,

Yup. They are supposed to be blacked out, but these weren't when installed. I actually came across an NOS set, so when the finance department approves Article 15: Car Budget and Husband acquisition Spending, I'll snatch them up. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif If I can add a rider to that amendment, I may snag an NOS idle solenoid too! The car is the typical over restored deal, so I'll be correcting everything that's not correct detail wise. Undercarriage detailing, etc. Just to get the car to the next level. The fun stuff instead of the headache stuff! I just got home today, so I'll have to spend some time seeing what the game plan will be. I have a leaky 6pk Bee that needs attention, and everyone needs an oil change. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/crazy.gif So much fun!

Hmmmmm.....you bring up a very intriguing argument, Herr Ashton. Bringing the Bee last year was a pretty impressive undertaking that I did to see a good friend in addition to displaying my "please touch" car. I'll be there this year no doubt, but not positive about bringing a car. Took her for a spin today then jumped in the A12 and took that out. A plethora of carburetion that undoubtedly blew a hole in the ozone layer around Houston ! Ssssnnnniiiffff.......aaaaaahhhh! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

Here's a few I took today. I'm liking the E-Body thing versus the B-Bodys I'm used to driving. Lot more clangs/clunks in this series of bodies versus their bigger brother. And of course, now that I've been driving it around today, the Bee started to have center carb issues so now I have that to deal with. Good old Holley's. Just when you think they are all tuned up and running great, they decide to show you that despite that positive attitude you had about :13 seconds ago, you're in for a good 13 days of misery trying to figure out this newest issue when all was well after you shut the key off! Anyone make a correct looking EFI six pack!!!!?!!?!? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif I did a few detailings on the rear axle, painted the mufflers black, and will start on a few other fixes to the "incorrectness" under there. It's nice and clean though! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Love that T/A. Had same color and very similar floating around the south hills of Pittsburgh in the mid-80's and it was just cool. Love the exhaust, so cool.

All you need now is an A12 Runner and an AAR. Looks nice - congrats!

You know, I believe you're right. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif You can never have too many carburetors in the shop!

Nice looking ride. She needs some polyglass though (E and G). I think that is what is cool about a T/A!

Agreed! I'll be calling "the tire man" shortly and ditching these radials post-haste!
