Anyone know the manufacturer?

They really look like a set of Hookers for a Camaro BBC that somebody had installed on SBC frame mounts . . . hence that "minor dimple" on the #5 tube for steering box clearance.

I doubt if these are Hooker's or for an F body BB.
#1, Hooker Headers have 1 of 3 ID configurations. The welded on tag for units made 78-79 & to the Present.
Stamped flange w/ Hooker Headers or on units made prior to 78 , the collectors are stamped with....
The Hooker Headers HEART 360°
around the Collector.
#2 F body firewalls are closer to the rear ports than on say, Chevelles,Impalas & trucks....
.the F body BB headers typically have the rear port pipes curved down or pushed forward then down for firewall clearance.
These appear to be for a Full Frame car with front steering boxes. ..
Another thing I noticed is the #325 font which is late 60's-mid 70's style. and the stick welded primary tubes to the collector. Doug's/ Doug Thorley and others used this technique, Hooker did not.

The dimpling was due to non power steering headers on a power steering car. It was a true BB 68 Camaro. They are now on my 67 L35 clone. Since I pulled the engine for a rebuild I went ahead &amp; coated them myself.


I was thinking Thorley headers but wasn't sure.

Does anyone have an old catalog for Thorley headers?

I owned a speed shop in the mid eighties. Sold a lot of Thorley headers...325 was their BBC part # R was for rectangular and if I remember D was oval port. My memory tells me 325's were Chevelle...but maybe Camaro too...But I don't think so.

Thanks for the info! The other header has 325L. So not sure about the round and oval.

Round and oval are the same definition for round/oval port.... which only applies to the intake ports. The exhaust ports on factory heads are the same for square/ rectangle ports as round .. ...stock exhaust manifolds confirm that.
Aftermarket or GM Aluminum heads may have square ports/D ports and or raised ports.
A funny thing is,
what side are the L &amp; R on ? R-Right
L- left ... ????
Head flanges may have been different for R &amp; L due to water temp sending units or something like that.

Those exhaust ports/flanges on your headers are quite large for the period....they may be High Performance/ Pro type class for heavily modified heads.

The best header manufacturers were on top of racers needs and most built custom order items, such as Doug's,
Jardine, Hedman etc. Hooker was more out of the box kinda supplier.

Do some more asking of Header Manufacturing and parts #'s.
something will come to light.

I called Thorley Headers and talked to Tech Support and the oldest catalog they have is '99.. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/thumbsdown.gif

Ill look again when I get home but Im almost sure it had a L and R then the 325 #.

Just confirmed it. L 325 on the drivers side and R 325 on the passenger side header.
