OK I'm pretty sure it is a "309" master but does anyone know what the two letter code is stamped in it? Pics?

From another site...

My Chevrolet Parts Interchange Manual book has 1970 Nova with Moraine (from Delco) master cylinder part #5470664 stamped "SA" (power disc) and has 1969 Nova with Moraine master cylinder part #5463751 stamped "US" (power disc).

The 1970 Chevelle and 1970 Monte Carlo had Moraine master cylinder part #5470665 stamped "BA" (power disc).

The 1968 Nova had 3 Moraine master cylinders listed, part #5469489 & #5463493, both stamped "SA" (power disc) and part #5468813 stamped "AD" (manual disc).

What is your brake system? Power brakes...manual Disc or both...that will decide what your codes are.

There are no 2 letter stamps on Nova "309" master cylinders.

"309" master would have US stamped on the pad

Whew....thought you had a over seas one! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Some are stamped almost off the pad or half on.

My 69 survivor nova is stamped OR. I think it stands for "made in the Orient."
