Well done Dan:-)
I was a big fan of Pete's and we met a few times but I would have loved to really gotten to know him. By all accounts we lost one heck of a great Canadian right there!!!!!!

Wow. It was that long ago. One of the best in the hobby. Wish I could have gotten to know him better.

Remembering our friend again today... he really was a great guy and always ready to lend a hand, here we are loading up my car after I had some engine trouble, our whole convoy pulled over somewhere in MI on the side of I-69 in '97 I think it was, we were all on our way to the Pure Stock Drags.
Pete's in the shorts. And while I moved away twenty years ago, we always picked up where we left off with any conversation.
Missing COPO Pete still, a good friend to all he met and always fun to be around.

Anthony,
You beat me to it....and that is great!
You are 100% correct.
Pete is surely missed....one of the best car guys I had the pleasure of knowing.
RIP my friend.

His window sticker rides with me every day. It is great that the boys still race the car every year, well except 2020, I though maybe Bruno could find a way across the border.
Btw, the car is faster than it ever was

His experience of when his Copo Camaro was stolen was legendary.

Funny,
I just posted pics on Facebook yesterday - from when he came to visit in January of 2011. Pete was wan awesome person.
We had long talks about heart transplantation via phone and in person (he ended up having a transplant-and subsequently never recovered from). I've had real struggles with what I told him-never thinking he would have issues...
We do REALLY miss you Pete. :frown:
