Those are Dave Beems cars. Frank Arone just had an awesome L78 Survivor Fathom Green Camaro at his shop. Cool cars Dave

That' was a cool surprise I gave up on the cars hitting the magazine .they actually came to my house 2 years ago I gess these things take time. The arctic states I bought these cars for a clone project not true iim a survivor nut . I told the editor it's nice to have survivor cars for a reference When your restoring cars.

I think the silver Z without the stripes is truely unique. Dont ever restore the orange one. I would at some point like to know, what is the earliest date a ZL2 hood was found on a camaro.

Bob I belive my orange z is the earliest known cowl hood car built . Built 12c in Los Angeles there was a thread on it on team camaro

To date Dave's highly documented Orange LA Z28 is the earliest documented car with the ZL2 option.
I believe the paperwork on the ZL2 option arrived at the dealerships in late Nov and it was previously thought that the first Z28 to get the option would have been in January. The period of time from the time ZL2 became an option til the time the ZL1's were built was thought to have been insufficient to order and build a car.
