Anyone have history on this L89 Camaro? Very beautiful car, but the <$100k asking price makes me wonder. Description clearly states "This is an original RS/SS 396 Big Block L89 car with factory Aluminum Heads."

Not saying the L78 was original either but it looks like the L89 heads are a recent addition.

The RK photos show the Aluminum heads as well.
What I was looking for was the Photo of the Window Sticker. The Ebay auction description states something about photo of the Window Sticker, yet there are no window sticker photos on either ebay or RK.
The ECL codes listed beside his options are incorrect.

It even has the rare spark plug heat shields so it must be real. Doesn't JM certify and inspect all the Camaros for RK? It would be interesting to see his report.

I have a set of these "rare" spark plug heat shields in my garage. Anyone know what engines they were used on?

I *think* JM does Barrett Jackson, unless he does both now?

Spark plug shields I thought were used on all 1965 396 engines?

These shields are funnel shaped. I have also seen round tubed shaped shields. Can anyone identify on what engines the funnel shaped shields (like the ones on this "L89") were used?

those funnel shaped shields look like the ones that were used on big block trucks in the 80's and 90's. they fasten using the manifold bolts.

----I agree, Paul! I have always felt those funnel style shields came on big block trucks. Not willing to rule all other GM couldn't have had them, but, to me,,,,,very doubtful.......Bill S

How does a car go through such a high level restoration and the grill emblem is installed upside down?

Maybe they installed the emblem first and then attached the upside down car to the emblem in order to correct their mistake? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

He was spending a lot of time at RK prior to BJ.

I've seen the window sticker. Clearly a fake. And lists Nickey as the dealer.
