View Full Version : My day 2 nova build
This is my original paint and vinyl top L78 4 speed car,it's a local car since 1972.i know all owners since then, original engine swapped for 427 in early 70's,427 was destroyed in 76 and replaced with a 365hp 327 and sidelined with broke ring and pinion in the 80's and stored in a dry barn on plastic.i have a fresh 69 L78 with a bigger solid cam, hooker super comps and a set of traction bars that were removed from a 69 yenko camaro that Dave Tinell restored many years ago

That's really a nice looking car. Sounds like a good plan you have with it.
That should run real well!

this car was in bowling green ky back 1970 and owned by a local drag racer Pat Cassady, it wasn't his race car but a stock then driver. after that Leo Pate from my home county bought it from pat and it was still all original but soon became a local street legend, I even owned it at one time, this is a for sure l78 nova!!!!!! Great car Chris
My nova has finally seen the light of day.this car hasn't moved under its own power for 20+ years and no big block power for 40,til today. I still have to set timing, adjust carb and install gauges.i need to thank Nugeusa1,pusherman and Darell Cook for parts and moral support,oh and motivation

Thanks for the compliments guys. I actaully took it out on the highway today. I was well pleased.i need to get a few miles on it before I turn it loose, but it seemed pretty strong.

I enjoyed seeing this car at the reunion this weekend. Did you get to make any passes at Beech Bend?
