Super Car Workshop is proud to announce that the first VIN 1967 Camaro will be on display at Solid Lifter Showroom 7 at GM Carlisle this June. Also being highlighted this year is the 45th anniversary of the 1970 Yenko Deuce. Deuces are signing up fast to be part of this historic gathering. All hi-performance GM cars are welcome to be part of the weekend. Once again this year we we be provided outdoor tent spaces for the Showroom overflow parking. Space is limited and the building is filling up fast. Hope to see you in June. Inquires for the show can be sent to [email protected] or PM me at Yenko.net......BKH http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2015/02/full-10-22071-8.jpg

I don't have anything 1970, but I just bought a neat old 1969 Camaro X-Super Stock/Stock race car. Might be neat to have it outside under the tent.

A customer (or 2) of mine would like to put some Chevelles in your show building if you have the room.

Just a reminder the cars DO NOT need to be a 1970's model year car. Any GM hi-po car is welcome.. We are just pushing for nice 70's examples...BKH

I'm in with my Deuce, will bring it Thursday afternoon. I can do some Yenko Deuce Seminars as well if there is interest.

My Deuce will be sporting my new Atlas style wheels, <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif with 'Aa' centercaps and a nice 'rake' to compliment the wheels. I haven't had my car to a show in about 4-5 years, (since Jr Dragsters...!) so it will be nice to get it out and sync up with all you guys.

I'll have a pair of spiral bound Yenko Deuce books for folks to look through as well.

Folks that attended SLS6 will remember the Norwood artifact unveiling that we did at mid day on Saturday.

This year we will have another set of artifacts from Norwood Assembly to unveil and this particular unveiling may be be a bit on the controversial side so caution is in order. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/haha.gif

If you have a first or second generation "F" car then you do not want to be anyplace else for this portion of the event -- it is that significant.

The owner of Camaro Vin #1 is extending a big thanks to Brian for the invite and if you have not had the opportunity have a look at the Pilot Camaro Site it really raises the bar for information transparency within the hobby.

More additions and display info to follow as plans are firmed up.

Thanks go out to Phil for having this historic Camaro at SLS. This may be the only time this car makes it into PA for an up close and personal look. And as most people know, the SLS is one of the few shows that you can do that...BKH <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

We have confirmed that two "Norwood Ambassadors" will be joining us at the GM Nationals at the SLSR this year to meet and greet and Q+A. We will have a public address system with microphones for Question and Answer sessions with restorers and these guys have a good handle on a wide variety of chassis side assembly practice techniques employed during the assembly of the "F" car at Norwood. One of the ambassadors is none other than Gail Mains. Mr. Mains is one of the men pictured on the cover of the book Echoes of Norwood at body drop.

SLSR provides an excellent opportunity both Friday and Saturday for the hard core Camaro and Firebird restorer to gain first hand insight into chassis side variations and process detail. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

I also believe that tents may be set up outside for overflow parking again this year. So if you want to display there let Brian know.

Phil thanks for the info you do a superior job in organizing GM gatherings. I went to Norwood in 2013. I wanted to thank Brian Henderson for invite to SLSR7. Stockers Shocker 1967z28 is getting lettered as we speak like it was in1967. Thank you Brian.

Yes, there will be tents once again available for the overflow parking. I am very excited to have the "Stocker Shocker" at SLS. There are a number of other first time seen cars like Skips survivor '69 Z/28. A few Norwood employee seminars, for the F body crowd, and Marlin Spotts Yenko Deuce seminars. And as always, the SLS is a 100% free event..BKH

I'm looking forward to the show and have never been to GM Carlisle. The Solid Lifter Showroom looks like an amazing part of it. I am really looking forward to it. I have been checking the weather and it's not looking the best for Saturday and just ok on Friday. This is a 5 hour ride for me. What is everybody's take on the weather and the effects on the show. I would come down and Friday and Saturday. Is the weather going to effect the show enough where it is not worth the drive?

Steve, The best cars will be displayed inside one of the buildings. As for vendors, some will have tents; others will be covered up if it's raining. Your call.

Anyone going to SLS then back to Long Island? I have a bumper and a grille for a Chevelle that I'm trying to get to a friend of mine that lives in Bayside. Any help would be appreciated. Please contact me through PM if you can help.

Wish I could have made the show. Looks like a great line-up.

Thanks.
