I have to get off my lazy old a$$ and try to get the dash and other exposed metal interior pieces resprayed on a 1966 Chevelle. Does anyone have a recommendation for the proper gloss levels or a paint code that I can bring to the local paint guy? I believe I need a flat for the top of the dash and a semi gloss for the rest of the painted parts like the face of the dash, tops of the doors and steering column. It is a black interior. Any help anyone could offer would be appreciated.

I had the same questions regarding the dash on my '69 Nova and went to our local auto paint store and they had the old GM books and he looked it up and sold me both paints, top of dash and face and the match came out perfect. Wasn't cheap as I only needed a small amount of paint for the dash, but had to but minimum of a pint for each and out the door cost was around $200.

Thanks for the help. I did find some old Dupont paint sheets that I had and have the 50 year old codes. I will see what the local paint guy can come up with. Thanks again.
