I am looking for a radiator with finger guard no shroud for a 1966 L78 chevelle. Not sure if being a l78 makes a difference but my understanding is that for a 66 should have finger guard and no shroud. If this is not correct or you have additional information to share please do.
Thanks.

Finger Guards are near impossible to find period..most have been removed or broken and true L78 4 core original Harrison radiators are even harder to find for sale but expect to pay 3k plus if located..I searched 6 years for the radiator before getting lucky! Both 66-67 came with guards and shrouds..Happy hunting!

One of the hardest to find.
I believe Rick is correct in saying they came both ways.
Had 2 in the last 3-4 years and it was just by chance that I got them.
Good luck on your quest,I will keep my eyes open.

This is the base 3 row with smaller finger guard 325hp BB and small blocks. The wider finger guard for a L78 will be on the larger 3 and 4 row radiators with filler neck on drivers side of tank.

Thanks for the education, will keep my eyes out. A longtime aquaitance exclusively dealt with 66-7 SS Chevelles. Perhaps he has one. Is there any value in my radiator? It has the original core. I believe it is a good solid piece. I have had it at least 25 years...need to start moving stuff I will not need or use.
