There is a '70 Saturn Yellow GSX Non-Stage 4-Speed selling at Mecum's Indy Auction. Description indicates it is a low mile (+/-30,000 mile) car with original drivetrain and correct components (carb, distributor, etc.). It was restored by Then and Now in Georgia. Is anyone familiar with this car and have any insight into its history and quality?

Very nice car. It had a trunk pan from the rubber trunk mat . But otherwise was a really clean car. Several concours awards over the years. Not the hype due to non stage, still a Real 4-speed X.
The previous owner that had it restored is good friend from another Dallas Buick guy if you have further interest.

DL,

Thanks for the info. I've always wanted a GSX and this one being a 4-speed has me interested. I just want to be an informed buyer. If I'm lucky I may be able to bring it back to the DFW area. I assume and will verify when I get to see it that it has the original drive train as advertised along with original components like carburetor, distributor, etc.

Thanks

That was incredible money for that car. I had an opportunity a few years back for a twin original paint car for a quarter of that. DOH!!

I was surprised when I saw that price, when I watched it go by when it was streaming on my pc. wow. Right place right time.

I remember when I was 10ys old, at Ray Buick in Chicago, walking around a 1970 gsx on the showroom floor over and over again, while my dad was getting some service done on his lesabre. I wish he could have bought that car instead! Such a cool car and color.

Was one of the previous owners initials K.W.? I knew of a yellow GSX non-stage 4 speed 20+ years ago that the owner was restoring. He lived in the DFW area, and in the mid-90's bought a 1970 seamist green stage 1 auto hardtop from my dad. Curious if this is his old car.
