Figured I'd ask my question here.

Ok Im working on a 70 TA with a 400. It has these huge stock manifolds 3 bolts per side which blows my mind. I'm used to SBC with 6 per side. I bought the stock fel-pro metal gaskets which are real thin. It only solved my leak on passenger side. The driver side is leaking real bad on center port and back port. So today I pulled the driver side manifold off and it was real rusty from years of leaking by. So I put a straight edge across the face of manifolds and the center port is low. So it looks like it is warped some. I tried to true it up the best I could. Installed back into car and still leaking. I'm thinking a thicker gasket will solve my problem what has everyone used.

some machine shops can mill them flat again

Not the only solution, you could buy replacement from Ram Air Restorations

Take them to any good machine shop and have them milled -- keep the original part(s) ... TAZ

I had a pair of SD manifolds cut. Not cheep due to the set-up but came out perfect.

id leave them alone..put them up and keep them for the car, and buy a pair of repops..not the ebay/parts place stuff..RARE manifolds as stated above
