<span style="color: #FF0000">SOLD</span> Real deal documented 1969 Chevy Camaro RPO-L78 X66D80, Tuxedo black project, car has original vin stamped heavy duty CX coded T-400 trans and BT0603G1 12bolt posi 3.55 multi leaf rear-end
X66D80 SS396 with front and rear spoilers originally
Original cowl tag has never been off car, and has been inspected behind cowl.
Car was de-trimmed of SS badging back in the day for some reason and engine was swapped out for aluminum ZL-1 427 engine COPO/Yenko type setup for street racing...SS front fenders were replace for NOS fenders with no drilled holes and blue bow tie emblems where in front grill and rear tail panel. Was this a dealer Super Car conversion is unknown
No engine, car comes with original CX trans (only for L78/L89 and COPO L72 and ZL1 cars) and original BT coded rear. Lots of misc parts, original CH coded HD radiator
Car is super rock solid, has had full frame off restoration started, bottom and firewall done, sub-frame completed disassembled and media blasted and recoated in correct chassis black, all new suspension, ball joints, tie rods ect..done. All new body bushings, new front big block springs.
Double COPO front sway bar, all new brakes front and rear, correct master cylinder and Delco Moraine booster and proportioning valve.
New fuel system, tank sender ect...
Original BT 3.55 gear posi rear-end rebuilt, new multi leaf rear spring, bushing mounting hard ware.
All original interior is due to be freshened, was kind of a survivor type car with a vintage repaint
GM didn't offer Tuxedo black as a RPO code in the start of the 69 model year and dealer brochures didn't list as a option, mid year it was available for a up charge but most didn't know. So a lot of cars got color changed after delivery. This car was a factory code 69 69 Cortez Silver that was changed to Tuxedo Black back in the day.
