I see a lot of oooh's and aaaah's, like DG pulleys, NOS parts and so on. Does look solid and unmolested. How does a guy own a car this long and come up with that traction bar BS?

I seriously doubt that's a factory traction bar but I do wonder who made it. They slightly resemble TractionMasters. The rear bracket actually looks like a casting and I'm sure that solid, non-pivoting front mount makes for a rough ride. Traction bars are a long time fetish of mine and I thought I'd seen every kind imaginable but I do not recognize these. It almost makes me wonder if it's something from the TransAm racing program along with Kustom headers, cross rams, rear disc brakes, etc.

Considering the leaf springs are Not Original but Generic after market replacements along with those Bars ......

Any thing could've been changed, added, modified from Late 69 to February 1984......+ the additional 31 years of ownership.

Regardless; This sure looks like a damn good car to restore.

He bought the car as a 15 year old + Used Car.......
He "thinks they are"
(maybe something on the lines of '67s single factory round or square
bars)
I had a set identical to those pictured with the cast mounting hardware on a 67..... I thought they were Traction Masters.
Looking at the rear springs again. They appear to be modified original with added leafs and clamps.
Somebody was trieing to get it to hook up and or prevent wheel hop.

Pretty Solid Car overall. Too bad its Frost Green.

Nothing wrong with frost green. It's good to be different

I'm with you luzl78, I love seeing the off or unpopular colors from back in the day. So much more interesting to me than another Porsche Guards Red Camaro - just my opinion, and I'd gladly take a PG Red Camaro - I just like to see different colors. I went back to the CRG website and Googled the various colors just to see what each looked like. Man, some of those colors look awesome now, and makes me wonder why everyone ordered dark green back then, lol. Trendy I guess.

I love a good project, but not being the original engine certainly hurts its value. I would think that it is about all in as far as value. Frost green is a great color. I would tackle this, but I am up to my neck in a 70Z project that has been off the road since 1978! A lot of challenges with putting one back together after all these years.

I blew the pics up, the leafs do look original with additional leafs and rubber wrapped band style clamps.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread.
