I installed a 163 manifold (replaced a Edelbrock torquer which is lower) and the old 3" K&N air cleaner is too tall (hits the hood) My friend let me try a deep dish he had laying around but it didn't fit because it was hitting the manual choke. I know I can get a 2" filter but don't like the look. Do they make a deep dish base that will fit my Holly 750 with manual choke?

Is anyone running a Manual choke with this setup?

A couple of questions is that a double pumper 750 or vacuum? The black to the left of the carb intake looks like a diaphragm? If running a 750 double pumper mechanical secondaries the tube on the bottom of that black base is going to hit your accelerator pump. I had to heat mine up and concave it to clear the secondary mechanicals. I never had any of my chokes hooked up and they were all manual choke carbs.

I don't know if it's a Double Pumper, maybe you can see from the picture

Vacuum secondary's. No way to get around that. That crank case vent tube on the bottom of the air cleaner base I'm guessing is hitting just in front of the rear gas feed line?

I'm going to remove the tube and see what is hitting then. I'll let you know

I have used an older 780vs 3310 Holley with manual choke and factory drop base...that newer vacuum diaphragm and the universal fuel line kit may be adding to the problem. The black plastic components in the photo look bigger than the older stuff.

I have it on the car, I removed the choke cable, removed the breather tube from the bottom plate and shorten the mounting stud 1.3 inches and it fits great. Thanks everyone for all your suggestions
