Joseph Carroll is the President & C.E.O. Of RK Motors, LLC. Joe has had an infatuation with American classic cars that began when he was a young child and received a Hot Wheels of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's Orbitron as a gift. Joe developed a love for Mopar muscle cars after he purchased his second car at the age of 17: a 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T. Joe began restoring cars in his early 20's and was the founder and creator of Best of Show Automotive, which redefined how classic cars were retailed in the United States. Based on their mutual love of classic and high performance cars, Joe teamed with Rob Kauffman to create RK Motors, LLC.

They just tried to sell this car on ebay with a NOM and a fake cowl tag.

I did not know Carroll was co-owner of RK motors. I figured he was just hired to run the operation. I was asked to inspect one Corvette there, a few years ago; turned out to be a trim tag change, added sidepipes and re-stamped motor. Needless to say, the buyer passed. I know of others who have bought many cars there, over the years, and had good luck.

Alot of it is probably because his buyer buys all the eye candy and bling he sees. I've seen them buying cars at auctions I've been too and he didn't even remotely check any of the cars history. It's all about the story with those guys. Everything is way overpriced. Likes to make 10k or more on a car.

What we learned real quick with RK is that you must inspect the car and you must verify everything yourself, or use a knowledgeable inspector. We got a few good cars from them, but mostly sold cars through RK. I don't like hearing bad news about anyone, I am sorry for his family and for all the good people that do work at RK and do their best to make a living ........... this is certainly a hit to their reputation.

Well I certainly do not agree with any of Joes wrong doings that he may have done. But I will say, with me he has always been a man of his word, and have treated me with the up most respect.

Pretty car. I love '62s. It's a shame the seller is dishonest about it.

Last week, he was listed by name as an expert panelist.

Now, he's only the "Industry Expert."

VIn doesn't matter. ITs the cowl tag that's a repro. There's a photo of it.

The VIN is not posted in the auction. The only way to get it would be to contact the seller. (or buy the car) HA!

Yep, He wins the prize for the longest and fluffiest ad copy I've ever read on ebay. He didn't even compare VIN numbers from the block to the car. Maybe someone with better computer skills than me can determine the plant ID on the block VIN. It looks like "A" to me.
