Thee is absolutely nothing wrong with this. I put it in my car back in 1976 with a set of 3.31:1 gears (already got rid of the gears). IIRC, it is dated Nov. Dec. 68. If it is important to you, I can take a look.

Free to a paid member if you can actually use it on your own car.

Just pay actual shipping.

I don't remember the gear ratio's this would work with. Are 3.08's a 2 series or 3?

I believe hi 2's (something like 2.8) to mid 3, so should work fine with 3.08.

One of the guys who rebuilds rears correct me if I am wrong.

I use to use the Summit/Jegs catalog for a quick reference on this type of stuff. A 12 bolt chevy car rear is 3.08-3.90 for 3 series. These days, there are aftermarket gears with extra thick ring gears to run lower ratios on such as a 3.73:1 on a 2 series carrier and also thin ones to run 3.73 on a 4 series.

So if you have stock or stock type 3.08:1 gears, these will work on the carrier being offered.

Lynn, I will take it if it is still offered. It will work fine in my 69 Chevelle rear end as a spare if I ever need it. I have the factory 12 bolt open rear end with factory 3:31 gears.. Plus my car is dated Nov. 68...
