Sure, this is a project, but to me, the dash mods on this car are some of the cleanest I've ever seen. Love the Corvair gauges integrated into the cluster, and the bank of switches below. It's like the guy raided the boneyard in 1966 and integrated some of the neatest factory parts into this car. Even has an autronic eye from a Caddy. I'd love to see the dash lit up at night.
I'm tempted to jump on this one, and install that roll bar and seat that Dan posted in the classifieds....

I've been looking for a driver 55 Chevy for a couple months now if this car was a post car id be in. Not really a big fan of the 55 hardtop.

Oh Man, You should have posted a wanted ad. I sold a pretty nice, really clean 55 B/A 2 dr post driver with a 327, 4 speed & 12 bolt just 2 weeks ago. '70s survivor in black paint with 63 Impala buckets & console done in black tuck and roll with Cragar S/S wheels.

Yea my father would roll over in his grave if he heard me talking about buying a 55 post. He lived and breathed the 55 hardtop.

IMHO the post cars had better design "proportions"
just saying, I had many, many 56 post cars, they were quieter and drier (no air/water leaks around the windows)

I was a hardtop guy too, I got my first 57 at 14. Spent many hours spent trying to get a HT sealed up. Drove a worn out 4 door sedan and it was quiet - and the windows weren't a bitch to deal with. That was that.
The post I sold went to the west coast and has already been blown apart to build a modern cruiser. LS power, etc. What a waste of a cool old hot rod.

The door glass windows on my 56 HT were a pain in the south end. When the door was closed, adjustment of the little flip down rail thingy on top of the glass never did work right -- would let New Mexico dirt blow around inside when the wind got to blowing.
