Wondering what vehicle this battery was used in from the Factory. NOS never been out of box. I know the S designates Heavy Duty, but not a lot of info out there on this model. What is the value of the battery, never had acid in it, still sealed. Thanks

Does your side case show R59S too?..reason I ask is the reproduction R59S battery they sell today,is really just an R59 case, with an R59S adhesive top decal.
I don't believe they've ever repopped the actual S casing..

Looks to be assembled March '69 from Delco's Oshawa Ontario Canada plant.
Is there a number melted in after the letter O in DELCO near the positive terminal?

Isn't that box too new to be 69? Looks like later Delco lettering.

Might be March '79,but not certain of either.

The battery case has 20 burned into it after the O. The case has the complete R59S on it. The cardboard box has a date code of 1979 as shown in pictures. I found some other info that it will also fit GTO with the 455 engine.

Would anyone know a fair price for the battery, not a lot around to compare prices to. I will be selling the battery and just want a fair price for buyer and seller.

Thanks.
