Car was Hugger Orange with deluxe black interior. Was an LOS car. Had this tag under the headliner on passenger side between front roof support and roof. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2015/08/full-4703-30022-016.jpg

Cool
http://www.gmphotostore.com/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro-Z28-Coupe/productinfo/53217604/

meaning std stripe color was white. Black stripes required black top in 69 w/ H.O. paint?

just a thought.

Paint codes after the FS&O number on the Chassis Broadcast sheet are dots, that means its should be a special paint color car as well as having black stripes, those two boxes should have 72's in them if it was hugger orange. if it has original paint on it and its oranange then it might be some other GM orange. I'm assuming the cowl tag is a - - paint tag, and not 72 72.

Owner wanted black stripes but not the black vinyl top that would have driven that stripe color with HO. It seems pretty straightforward. LeMans Blue was the same way, right?

I have a LB -B Norwood car. It had a black vinyl top and white D90 stripes. Have owned since 79
Pic is from 79 http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2015/08/full-13059-30111-nikon_1_868.jpg

My LOS car is HO 72 72 and the original owner said it arrived with black stripes but he had ordered it with white stripes so the dealer repainted the stripes white. I don't see any wording on my chassis broadcast sheet where it says stripes to be black. That is pretty interesting to see. I don't know what to think on my car since the owner did not order the JL8, it makes me think GM may have built what they wanted and then sent it to the dealer regardless of what he ordered. But it could have also been a salesman who screwed up the order, we'll most likely never know.

Was that painted tag found inside the car somewhere? If so I would compare that to other Oranges.

As Mark stated the build sheet with . . . . in the color position does not indicate a 72 72 hugger orange car.

Stripe colors are called out else where on broadcast sheets.

Up above the windshield between the support and roof on pass side. I have even started a thread on here, sent a pic to Jerry Mcneish. Nobody seems to respond. When me and my buddy Ian found it we were going out of our minds. Its just a regular red tag with a white inside. Its so cool, I am sitting next to it as I type. The 45 degree line going through it was where it was tucked in between roof and support . How many people have one of these. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2015/08/full-4703-30856-033.jpg
