These are custom made Stahl headers that are very close to the original GM headers. They are brand new (made years ago) and I don't think Stahl has this style of flange available anymore. $800 plus shipping.

Jeff. Do these fit with power steering? Thanks. Jeff

These were built from their #106 headers and their website shows PS works with the 1-5/8" headers but these are the 1-3/4" headers so I don't know.

I'll take them.

I will send you a PM asking how you want to proceed.

Thanks, Robert

I was the FIRST to agree to purchase the headers as offered and shown in this ad. Evidence of that is clearly shown above.

I then immediately sent him a PM with my address so he could get the shipping amount and I asked how he wanted to be paid.

The sellers response was “I'm checking with the first guy who responded but assuming he doesn't want them since he has PS I'll dig out the box and measure and weigh it to get an estimate. Paypal would probably be the easiest if you have it but cashier's check or money order would be fine. I'll let you know a little later.”.

This PM clearly shows that the person who asked the question had yet to agree to purchase the headers in a PM to the seller.

Now I have received a PM from the seller telling me that the person who had asked the question has decided they want to purchase them.

It appears that simply asking a question that in no way implies commitment to purchase gives someone more time to make a decision than those of us that actually agree to purchase at the asking amount.

There is also the possibility that the seller has had second thoughts about his price and is trying to get out of the deal.

As A result of this my opinion is that this seller can’t be trusted and should be removed from this site.

This is a first for me, First Buyer and First Loser at the same time.

Thanks JEFF H for wasting my time (as well as that of the moderators).

I feel your disappointment Robert - those headers are really nice. I don't know Jeff, so I'm not taking sides here. It is possible that someone immediately PM'd Jeff and made the deal, or he may have sold them to someone who was local (to avoid the hassle of shipping them across the country). Your presumptions are also possibilities. The moderators on this site watch pretty closely for people abusing the system. Jeff H has been around for a while (2,300 plus posts over the past 14 years), so I wouldn't impute bad intent.

Robert, I feel your pain as I paid 1500 a few yeras ago for the same style headers. Ive personally known Jeff for over 20 years and I can attest to his forthrightness and integrity. I assure you, there were no games played here. If he said he sold them prior to you PM, that is most likely what happened.

This is the reason why I said long ago that the first person to say on the forum I'll take them is ALWAYS the person who should get first shot. This would stop sellers from hand picking who they want to sell the item to and the buyer from feeling the way this guy feels. It's happened to me plenty of times. That should be the rules.

Whoa, sorry Robert if you think I wasted your time. But I always give the first person to reach out first shot at things. I'm not going to turn any parts into a bidding war whether I underpriced it or not. If the deal falls through, you would be next in line. If it turns out the headers don't fit for him, I asked if you wanted me to forward your contact information to him so you would still have the best chance of being next in line.

Don, You did the same thing to me with the Nova jack back in May. I asked for pics. You had trouble loading them. When I finally got the pics. by the time I looked at them the jack was sold.
I should have had first crack but you sold it without giving me a heads up.

That's not true. I sent you the pics of the Jack and you didn't get back to me untill a week's later. How long am I suppose to hold on to it? If you would have said I'll take it like I said in my post it would have been yours. That's how it really went down!

Don I never got back to you at all. 6 hours after you sent the pictures I looked at them and that is when I noticed the listing had SOLD on it.
I didn't complain at the time because I'm aware of the buddy factor and figured Oh well.
I wouldn't have brought it up now but your post gave me the opportunity to vent.
Not a big deal and I do not want to make enemy's.
Steve.
