Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any infomation on them? I know they are no longer in business under that name. My 70 LS6 was sold from there. Does anyone have a car from there and or any old dealer plates, emblems, etc?

Thanks in Advance,
Ray

I did find this while searching
http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2015/09/full-1044-31314-image.jpg

former Lakeshore Chevrolet
Euclid, OH

The Lakeshore Chevrolet dealership opened here in 1998 and closed in 2008. This photo is from 2010 when the building was still vacant. It is still vacant as of 2014. The Jackshaw Chevrolet dealership was here in the mid-1950s. I don't know if they were the original tenant. The building appears to be from the late 1940s or early 1950s. [map]

My 67 Camaro was shipped to Jackshaw from the Norwood plant the 3rd week June 67 per NCRS record.
I found out many years ago from NICB it was shipped there. Have never been able to find out much about
the dealership. The man that owned it was named Jack Shaw and he had a brother that owned a Pontiac
dealership in Cleveland. A guy from OH told me they were known as a HI PO dealer back in the day.
I've seen a couple old drag car photos with Jackshaw Chevrolet on the quarter panel. One was a 62 Impala
the other a 68 Camaro. This isn't much info but it seems like there isn't much out there about Jackshaw.

C O P O CARTEL, I sent Rich a message. Thanks!

1967 4K, I haven't had much luck either. I tried on Team Chevelle years back and didn't come up with much then. I have see a few pictures of the Impala on the Internet.

fsc66 (Paul) I had seen a few of the links you posted. The Craigslist one is mine. Thought I would try and see if anything comes up.

----Being from the Medina area (just south of Cleveland) growing up,I can at least tell you that Jackshaw was definetly considered a "performance" dealer. I never went there, but remember gearhead friends talking about it....Bill S

Does anyone know what type of dealership emblem they placed on the rear of their cars?

The only thing I can remember is a sticker. It's been a long time since I've seen on of those even. Jackshaw was big into performance, but you vary rarely see anything in the Cleveland area from them as far as merchandising or advertising. Plate frames, no...Yardsticks, No...Funny, all I can figure is they were selling cars and doing ok without all the trinkets. Some dealers were like that. Now, you did see their name on the drag cars, Fast Eddie Shartman, and a few local drag cars. I have one piece in my collection from them, a Jackshaw clicker. I'll get a pic later if anyone's interested.

Really, when I think of Jackshaw..It's Pontiac that comes to mind first. I remember seeing a ton of plate frames back in the 70's on T/A's GP's and such...Steel frame with a red background.

Above '63 pic must be Eddie Schartman's 'counter built' Z11.
Same car as the 'White Tornado' later sponsored by Evans Chevrolet?
Pics of both below...Goats from his bro's Cleveland Poncho dealership.

Maybe the current owner has NCRS confirmed it now but a few years back this black '70 L78 Nova posted here was thought to be a Jackshaw delivered car...

Also here's a link to a Jerry Heasley article w/ a Jackshaw delivered '67 L78 Camaro...

Hi I have a question about Don Howell, is the same person that had the dealer ship in Ashtabula oh. between 1970 to 1974
does anybody know? My reason for asking is my under standing was he was the son in law of the man who owned Callender chev
in this town and was later turned over to Don.Just curious as I bought my 69 in March of 69 it was Callender and a friend
of bought his 70 in july of 70 and it was Don Howell.

Thanks

Big that,s the emblem I have on my chevelle, also a friend gave me a key holder with
Callender and phone # on it. Two tons of fun is still in Ashtabula , I remember this
car on the street when it was new before being raced and lettered up, lot of local
history.
