Edit: crossram and parts have been sold, sale on the hood is pending.
I have an original GM crossram with Holley carbs and original GM fiberglass crossram hood for sale or trade. There are a few repro parts mixed in and I'll list what is GM, NOS or repro. I'd really like to trade for a clean 67-73 Camaro, preferably an RS car. Looking to sell for $28-32K or equal value trade.
Original GM crossram manifold - top 3941130 dated 9/26/68
Original GM crossram manifold - bottom 3941126 dated 1/21/69
Pair of original Holley 4295 carbs rebuilt by Holley dated 891
Original GM fiberglass crossram hood that has had repair work done to it correctly (pictures to follow when I can get them)
repro wide base air cleaner with 2 short filters and 1 tall filter
repro air cleaner studs (not pictured)
NOS GM flame arrestor
2 NOS GM crossram gaskets 3941132 in GM packaging
NOS GM offroad cam and lifter kit 12364053
NOS Timing set 12341093
NOS GM valve springs 3927142 (full set)
NOS GM TI wire harness 6297688
NOS GM TI cam to convert distributor to transistor ignition 1964349
NOS GM TI plate 1960779
NOS GM TI coil 1115207
Fuel lines (I think they are GM but I can't say 100% for sure)
Carb linkage (I think it's GM but again can't say for sure)
Alternator bracket (not sure)
Return spring bracket (not sure)
Throttle cable bracket (not sure)
Repro throttle cable
Gas pedal (used original GM)
I prefer to keep all the parts together as a package right now.
Feel free to ask any questions and I'll load up pictures but I'm waiting on the hood pictures because it's at the shop right now.
There are a few pieces missing that I'm trying to locate like the throttle return spring and the throttle cable bracket hold down but I really don't think I'm going to find them so plan on those pieces to not be included.

This is an original GM cross RAM hood. Original fiberglass press molded by the factory. Correct hair and texture. Early in its life the ho http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2015/09/full-905-31340-2015_09_03_14.55.17.jpg

od was damaged. While driving at speed the front latch let go damaging the hinge area and the peak. Painstakingly repaired press molded back. Reinforced hinge area with steel plates inside drilled and tapped all work was done filling it up to the car to make sure it was correct.

Was the hood used on a professional race car back in the day? If so, whose car?

And thanks for posting the pictures Rich.

You're welcome Jeff. This hood was never on a race car. The gentleman Jeff bought it from was a parts manager at a GM dealership and he and his brother bought a lot of parts from there. It was put on his personal green 69 z28 and driven around.

I'm still not sure but I wanted to get a car to play around with and this is the most realistic way to make that happen.

Wow....
What a Complete Package....
Very , very nice....the most comprehensive set up
I've ever seen !
Good Luck with the Sell/Trade
A few years ago , like 1987....I acquired one of the Penske Units that came back from England in the Early 80's (Via Eric Brant from California.)
A near NOS Unit unmodified with studs & nylocks
for attachment. Years later I sold it at Corvette Carlisle to an Auto Parts Store/Franchise owner from Oklahoma...... lost track....
That was a Cool piece...with Real Race History.

BTW...you probably already know Jeff, but, that is a 'one day only' xram top plate. Apparently where the winters plant employee screwed up and placed the date on the wrong side of the mold that day, therefore the date ended up on the outside of the intake where it is always visible. Neat set-up for someone that wants to have a very cool and unique car !! Wish I had something to trade !! Good luck !!

I didn't know about that with the top plate. I did notice one of the 1's missing from the base casting number and I know there are others out there like that.

I'd be willing to split up the crossram setup and hood separately if anyone is interested. I'm still looking for a nice clean 67-73 RS car if anyone is interested in a trade or partial trade.

It turns out the original carbs are dated 891 and not 881 like I originally thought. I took them out of the wrapping to take some pictures for Wayne Guinn and noticed the dates. I also noticed that Holley put the fuel bowls on backwards (inlets are on the outside) when they rebuilt the carbs so they need to be swapped around.

I had Wayne Guinn write up a report on the setup and parts so I can forward that to anyone seriously interested. Here are some pictures of the carbs, the bowls need to be swapped around, Holley put them on backwards when they were rebuilt.
