I have a 3 inch 3 ring binder with a 1960-1968 Corsair-Chevy II-Chevelle-Camaro Parts Catalog. It is 1048 pages. Revision Number 1 (Effective with Parts Release and Change Notice 67-11 Dated November 1, 1967). Also, Chevrolet Radio and Parts Catalog and Dealer Price Schedule Radio Models 1949-1968. 84 pages plus an additional 19 as a Dealer Price Schedule and Numerical Index. Several misc pages from the Chevrolet Truck and Parts Illustration and Special Information Catalog. Lastly, Chevrolet Passenger Parts Illustration and Special Information Catalog, Revision Number 1, Effective November 1, 1967. This section is not all there but does cover sheetmetal and trims parts from 66-68 along with RPOs and various other pages. A ton of great information those years. I haven't done much research on it all yet, but what is it worth in your opinion? Thanks in advance to all who respond.
Thanks,
Marty

i got $150 for a parts catalog and was glad to get it..it took a while..the radio books do 40 to 50
since it all went and is available digital..it has killed the prices on catalogs...
Digital format hasn't been as profitable as many expected. The original catalogs in their original form, still with their original hardcover binder, will always be sought after.Especially to restorers & collectors who want the experience of the paper answer & diagrams at their finger tips. The ending year of the complete catalogs,as well as their revision date is key.A 1955 to 1980 catalog will lean towards the later revised 1980ish part#'s,then a 1955 to 1970 catalog will. And a guy restoring a 1970 Camaro to assembly line status will see as less attractive & avoid. Most of the digital formats are copied from the former..
Depending on condition,I've seen them sell for $350-$550 swiftly w/many indoor & outdoor swapmeet vendors, where they seem to be greatly desired.

In addition to what Rick said, a later printing will not have discontinued part numbers in it. That makes it useless if you're trying to find a part number from an nos part. If you own a '68, then you need a P&A printed in '68 to have all the original numbers.
Parts History books are also valuable to have in case your NOS part has a superceded number.

Thank you all for the replies. I did not realize the revision date would lean towards the last year of the time span. Makes good sense and a great point on the superseding part numbers. That is why I come here for information. So many knowledgable people. Now, if I only had something to use this book on. Thanks again.

Marty,
Also note that for the unbound (loose leaf) parts books, Chevy would generally send the dealer a package with revision sheets in it to be inserted in the binder. It's common to find an original P&A book with numerous pages that have a revision date at the bottom that is later than the original publication date (noted on the title page).

PS: your book would be a great asset for someone with a '67 or '68 Chevy.
