Reasons to Join us for MCACN VII

I just wrapped up the new MCACN 80 page magazine, and with a sigh of relief, have uploaded it to the printer. I realized that we have so much going on this year, I can only hope that we are able get the word out to give you reason to join us, and <span style="font-style: italic">I ask that you will help us spread the word. </span> The bottom line is, unlike nearly all public shows, we count on our <span style="font-style: italic">spectator gate</span> to remain viable, so we need people to join us to stay in business!

So with that being said, I'd like to have a bit of fun. Tell me what you like the best or what you most like to see at the MCACN show, and I'll occasionally check in with something that directly answers with a related car/cars or person(s) that will be at the show, November 21-22.

Here is an example;

Response; this year we will play host to an incredible 25+ very real, fully documented Hemi E-body convertibles. This includes twelve 1970 Hemi 'Cuda convertibles, six of the 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T convertibles and eight of the 1971 Hemi 'Cuda convertibles. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif

People like Bob, who like to have fun. We've all said this many, many times; &quot;The cars are great, but it's the people that make this hobby (or obsession) so much fun&quot;.

Oh, Bob. Now you KNOW I have to reply to this thread!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif What do I like best about this show? Is this a trick question? It's really easier to tell you what I don't like about the show, and that would be that it's in Chicago. And not that I don't like the venue, I love it! I'm just a typical &quot;me&quot; generation where I ask, &quot;Wait, why can't this show be around the corner from my house? Why do I have to work for money?&quot; You know, typical self-centered, narrow-sighted, and any other hyphenated words you can think of ness! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

But for me, it's got to be the amount of effort you guys put into the show for all of us to come up there and bask in hemispherical, split windowed, factory correct glory that challenges each sense simultaneously that is simply astounding! The logistics of this type of show, and all you guys that drag you cars up there on YOUR dime, is a testament to the passion we all have in this hobby. I enjoy seeing all the factory fresh restorations and talking with the restorers themselves to ask how they did certain things so I can learn more myself.

The show is also a reunion for seeing friends I haven't seen all year and also, a meet &amp; greet for new ones I've met on this and other car forums. And having distributed over 1000+ flyers for the show, I think half of a certain airline will be showing up! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

So here's a few questions:

1.What special guest celebrities are planned this year?

This will be my third year and I gotta say, I love the ability to see some of the rarest cars from each manufacturer, all under one roof. It is hands down the best show I have ever been to. That being said... The hotel room has been reserved for weeks, time off has been approved, I get home from work yesterday to find a grand jury summons in the mail. Starts November 10th and could potentially conflict with the road trip out. Unfreakin-believable!

After a quick phone call this morning,I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get jury duty rescheduled to a later date. So I get to go to the show and fulfill my legal obligations. Life is good! See you all there. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Pleased to announce that Peter Klutt and the<span style="font-style: italic"> Legendary Motorcars </span>group will be joining us this year!

In addition to the incredible group of cars they are bringing, which includes one of the '70 Hemi 'cuda convertibles, a RA IV Judge convertible, a 427/435 Corvette, a Baldwin-Motion Camaro and a <span style="font-style: italic">very historical </span> Cobra, Peter will be taping our show for an upcoming episode of <span style="font-weight: bold">Legendary Motorcars Televison </span>show Saturday and Sunday.
