Nice!!!
Is it known which 396 it had originally also when/what 427 was added?
Also any chance it's an Oshawa built car like other Berger delivered L35 Post car(s) we've looked at here before...thus Canada paperwork available?

Very difficult to look at that color <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/no.gif

Another Michigan car coming to Illinois.
I am in hog heaven!
This car was in Berger's backyard, and has spent it's whole life around there. No proof yet, but the holes are in the rear panel for what, most likely, was a Berger emblem.
I'll order the NCRS papers.
So, I get there expecting a very rough 325 or 350 horse car, and was thinking of low-balling him because of that in my mind.
What I found was a well used, and abused, but not horribly rusted, L78 4-speed car.
Yes, it will need some floor work, and a redo of some previous work on the quarters, but all-in-all it's a good base to work from.
The engine is good running 427 or 454, that I never checked the numbers on, but maybe I'll be lucky and find a 512 block in there.
The original radiator is in it, but the tag is missing, as well as the fan shroud.
Also has the original deep-groove crank pulley, but has an incorrect water pump pulley.
Lots more to be determined on this one, but my body guy will have some more side work soon.
I won't dig into it right away, but do plan on picking at it until I finish the black one. That one should go back on the frame very soon, as I'm just waiting on the call from the machine shop to come see the engine dyno-run.

Well I guess I'm not surprised I figured it would be Dan or yourself that would end up with this car. Your a very fortunate man buddy. Did you happen to check the rearend code and did it come with any Berger documentation. I'd sure like to see more pictures of this beauty. Congrats Sir

When did you say the recycle man is stopping by.....he's gonna love the large container of GM trim he's gonna get....B90, B91, B92

Thanks Mike.
The rear end is out of a 70 Chevelle, cast date D-15-0, and will be for sale.......or trade.
Anybody have a KK 12-bolt dated in Sept. or October of `68
I have one that is dated in March of `69 that I'd possibly trade with.
More pics to come soon.
I ordered the NCRS docs for this already, so we'll have something soon on its original dealer.

Every time I see one I want one. Almost had my 72 sold but the deal fell through ( I wasn't even selling it at the time) So maybe someone out there will come along again. I was talking to my wife about this car and 300's in general so she knows how much I love and want one. She will have to stop me from drooling over them ones at MCACN in November!

There's always a chance, as I know of 2 KC cars that had a buildsheet in the seat.
Far as the B90 trim, I really do like it if it was originally equipped that way, so this car will be getting its redone and put back on. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif
