Stranger things have happened. Were there any '69 SS 396 Chevelles at the Lambrecht sale? I know there are some race cars around with ultra-low miles (I own a 977 mile '69 Camaro SS 396), but this could very well be what the seller claims. Probably worth researching........

There were no performance oriented vehicles at the Labrecht sale, other than the Indy Pace vette

I thought there was a blue '69 Chevelle SS.

There was a 27K mile Lemans Blue Parchment VT (with the roof caved in) trade in vehicle that sat since the 70's.

It sold for good money.....by memory I would say 25K USD

Wrecked when new! Perhaps a young kid with his graduation present that he stuffed into a ditch!

I know of a '73 Charger that was destroyed when it was new. It came at the hands, er mouth, of a pretty young girl that the guy was dating at the time. Charger's in 73 didn't come with ejection seats but ejection caused the wreck. This about as plain as I can tell it.....

Locally there was a 62 409 ragtop that the original owner allowed his brother to drive. He tried racing a train. He lost and got the back half of the car "removed". Supposedly the car still exists in that condition in the family barn somewhere around here.

Like someone pointed out, there were a few - precious few, but there were. Nothing Earth-shattering except for those who value low-mileage cars.

I don't consider a non-SS '65 Impala 2-door with a 325-horse 396 and an automatic a musclecar - but some might. There were two of those. The rest were 327 Impalas and 283/327 Chevelles....garden variety people-movers. I guess Corvair Monzas were performance-oriented back in the day.

I had forgotten about the crushed SS396 Chevelle- certainly a better deal than this 335 mile craigslist junker above.
