I was checking out a 69 Z28 Camaro and the trim tag had a build date stamp of 04C, also had X33D80 stamp. Isn't that production date of 04C a bit early for the D80 stamp ?

Yes it is. Do you have a picture, or at least the body number?

I thought so, triple black is one of the more desirable combo's out there, to good to be true.

I saw that...purposely sketchy ad IMO..."I found an old car in the barn and don't know what it is"

yeah I emailed the seller for more pics but never got a response, his description was very vague to say the least.

Agree that it looks to be a repro trim tag.

Nice patina though?

I believe 5D is the start of D80 on the trim tag.

$38,900 for a car with crap pictures and no guarantees that it's a real Z28 or what the engine is. Are people really that stupid? I guess that makes my wife's NOM X77 driver worth $40k?

Hard to believe those are real bids for a car of that caliber.

there were only two bidders above $25k

all were low feedback bidders ... suspect IMHO

dual fuel lines ... SS 350 IF it had a 12 bolt in it

seller knows more than he lets on, pro flipper / dealer based on his prior listings

Bet it will be relisted shortly, no way those were genuine bids.
