I am pleased and honored to announce our good friends T. Scott Tedro, Ken Maisano and the MASCAR crew have stepped up to be the Official Sponsor for our new Celebrity/Trivia stage at MCACN this year.
This new area, located in the dead center of the "big" room, will be set up "Tonight Show" style, with a riser that has a desk with a nice comfy couch next to it. In front of the stage will be rows of seats, creating a nice rest area that can be used all weekend for our participants and spectators comfort.
Dennis Pittsenbarger, our Official EmCee and star of the Discovery Channel TV show Highway to Sell will be conducting brief interviews hourly after the Official Unveilings, with some of the most interesting people from the show.
Special interviewees include Courtney Hansen, Phil Bonner family members, three generations of the Blake Family from Phoenix, (among the first of the serious Hemi E-body convertible collector/enthusiasts, John Kramann of Mecum Auctions, Marty Schorr, and The George Family, owners of the Petty 43 JR Barracuda.
The entire MCACN Team would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Tedro and his crew for stepping up to once again allow us to "raise the bar" for the MCACN show.
And don't forget to check out the Trans Am Javelin and the Yenko Deuce that they are Unveiling Saturday morning, and also the additional Deuces they are showing in our Class of '70 Invitational display, and be sure to say THANKS!

Bob,
This is coolness that trumps anything else that is cool! Nice job setting this up, and it just keeps getting better with the things you have planned for us showgoers! I think that's one word, but not positive! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif I think we need to set up an official countdown clock. Sorta on the lines of what NASA has for an upcoming launch. Yeah, that would work! See you all there!
Cheers

Great idea and looking forward to it. Will there be a schedule for when each celeb or group will be on stage?
Can't wait.
Thanks,
Marty

Jerry won more National Championships in SCCA racing than anyone I history..I believe more than 30. He raced a former Owens Corning Corvette as well as CanAm cars.He was a contemporary of Don Yenko

Ah..now I remember the name.
I do not believe he is Courtney's Father, but you can ask her at the show. Her family used to own the Brainerd Raceway in Minnesota, where she grew up.

From Wikipedia, so it MIGHT be accurate:
Courtney Hansen was born on October 2, 1974 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Gerald John "Jerry" and Constance (Walker) Hansen. Her father is a winner of 27 SCCA national racing championships. Her family owned Brainerd Raceway and she grew up in Orono, Minnesota, and spent lots of time around the pits and garages at racing tracks. As a result, she is an automobile enthusiast, and much of her work to date has revolved around automobiles.[

Ha...looks like I stand corrected. I would, however, still plan on asking Courtney in person at the show. Nothing better than getting answers directly from the source! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

I agree. Wiki has been known to have some inaccurate info. Plus, it's more fun to ask her in person.

Yes Sir;
Mr. Norm will be set up on the far side of the "big" room, in the front row towards the Awards/Ballroom area, but he is not one of our interviewees. I am sure he would be pleased to allow you to interview him!
