David, were those some of the original paint scheme on your Mustang? Are those what you're going to do when you paint it? How's it coming?

Here is Jerry Frailey's Chevelle with some lace he painted on the back as they forgot to paint it black from the factory so he wanted something there.

You guys have got to check out "Tuki" Hess, who's dad "Bucky" is a SS/AH owner and pilot. They have "Bucky's Ltd.", a body shop not too far from here. Travis "Tuki" is a MAGICIAN with a paint gun. One of the best I've ever seen at both painting and lettering. Another local favorite of mine is Tom Baker who not only paints, but recently set a NHRA record and won class at Reading. I'm terrible at the tech stuff, but someone PLEASE post some of Travis Hess' work.........impressive is an understatement.

My uncles 56 was painted around 67. The scallops are a candy tangerine with gold leaf splattered in it. It still looks awesome today. Sorry for the crappy pictures.

Quain's Southeastern Gassers have lots of gold leaf, candy's, lace, scollops, etc....
FWIW if the Southeastern Gassers are anywhere near any of ya'll it's worth the trip. They were in Knoxville this past weekend and Alabama next weekend.
They run A/gas - D/Gas 1967 rules, clutch shifted 4 speeds no autos, must appear period correct, no electronics, 10,000 RPM wheelstand launches, protree, first one to the finish line wins.
