I think a friend who has been considering selling his '69 SS 396 Chevelle might be ready to sell. Nice car, tons of paperwork, 3rd owner, 325/auto, silver/black. I think he wanted in the low/mid 30's before, but I'd have to check with him. Let me know if you're interested.

I know it says only if you are serious but i have been thinking about letting mine go ! Have had it 15 years . Shadow Gray , saddle buckets , 396 , 4 speed , A/C works , gauges all work including quarts clock , 3.31 posi . I did a partial restoration , is not a hacked up rust bucket . Have POP , build sheet , window sticker & a pile of paperwork from previous owners . Block was decked at some point ( IDIOTS ) but still has partial vin at oil filter even though it is a K.C . car ? Matches trans font so i would say it was original & the block date is previous of build date of 9/69 . Have original heads , intake & a correct dated 205 carb . Only thing not correct is starter & dist. Actually don't know how to price it ? Any thoughts ? Have other projects that could use a boost ( another 70 ss ls-5 & a 68 ss427 impala ) . http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2015/11/full-682-34146-phils_pics_061.jpg

Shadow gray with saddle interior is a very interesting and I'm sure rare color combination. Huh, not sure what to think about that.

Yes it is ! Previous owner was going to change it to black but i got it before he had the chance to . I had to leave it original , it is a love it or hate it kind of combo for sure !

Maybe I'm just being impatient but I am going to open up my search to other cars. I really just want a nice, original GM muscle car. I LOVE day 2 cars and cars with drag racing history. I tried to buy Phil's L78 Camaro but I wasn't fast enough on the draw because we are so far from each other. 70 Chevelle's are my favorite but I also love Camaro's, other year Chevelle's, GTO's and Nova's. I really want an original big block that is at least a 350hp car and a 4spd but I will consider auto's. Solid original cars are best with original panels, docs and/or matching numbers. I have been looking for a solid keeper car forever and the itch is getting really hard to ignore. Please PM me with awesome cars!

78MBA, I know you said 69's weren't your favorite, but my friend has a nice (full documents) '69 Chevelle SS396, 325 HP auto, in silver with black top and interior that is a very nice car. Just wanted to let you know.

Shadow Gray & saddle not doing it for you huh ? LOL !! Would think with a budget of 45k you would have no problem whatsoever to find a really nice 70 ? Or am i crazy ?

Mark, none of those pics showed but I sent you a PM.
Phil, there are cars out there but either no one wants to sell or they are so far away that by the time you can arrange inspections or to see them, if they are nice, they are sold. It's just a tough market with all the dealers, auctions, etc.

Same thing, love the car but don't like the interior color. Not that it can't be changed but I hate to change an original car just because it is not my taste.

It's just personal preference. I just want a stripped down muscle car that is all about the horsepower. No luxury, no frills, just horsepower.
... You should buy this..... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif
