Love it!...not just a barn find, but a very RARE barn find.
I agree, try to get the original block repaired and installed, and not just be a paperweight.

Oh yeah, I bookmarked this video a couple years ago. I can't get enough of the sound of that solid-lifter FE. And those tailpipe sounds! This video is one of my happy places!

And to think that you could walk into your neighborhood Ford dealer and order up a 427/425 Galaxie just like this one, no muss/no fuss, and be out cruising to those sweet sounds in no time.

theres been 3 new barn finds in my area of r-codes lately...generational thing i believe...i think the seniors are passing and their kids just dont care about them like their Dad did...such a shame..they have changed hands at really low end prices...and i always hear about them 2 people/owners/flippers later it seems..

There used to be the remains of a 63 Lightweight in our neck of woods years ago, but I'm not sure what happened to it.

If this car was black/black in basicly the same as found condition as the above mentioned car in the main first post, would it have any more value like in a corvette, Camaro, or chevelle??

(Not talking about the car in the video)

Thanks in advance

Not sure. 20k for a running project maybe?

I'd go with the $20k number. Big things are if its an R code (Q code 410hp 427 4bbl just doesn't get the same love), if the 427 is still there (most seem to have gotten 352's or 390's after someone blew up the 427 or scavenged it for their lighter drag car). Condition of all that anodized aluminum side trim is important, as it is very difficult to restore properly and NOS stuff has dried up. They bring comparable muscle car money on the open market.
