I recently acquired a very nice, low mile Class B camper. Long story. Won't bore you with the details.
Thinking of trading for an over the top build that I know needs some work, and need someone to look at the car for me.

Located in Zip 43342 near Prospect OH, about 40 miles North of Columbus.

Owner described three issues. Leaking hose to an air bag. Sagging doors. Leaking intake manifold gasket.
Engine is a ZZ572 with a Weiand 871 blower. He was told it was an intake gasket leaking externally. Car is listed on ebay ( here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/291641315278?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageNa me=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) ), and if he sells it, then I am out of luck. But if he doesn't, he is interested in trading for my RV.

My main concern is whether coolant has gotten into the crankcase, Secondly, I want to make sure the car is reasonably straight and presentable. They always look better in pictures. Lastly, the car (53 Studebaker) has had a GM subframe stubbed in, and I want to make sure the work looks decent.

Will pay a few plus expenses.

PM if you can help.

Got this handled. Member here was less than 10 minutes away.
Having him and a buddy or two go check out this car saved me a huge headache.

Thanks a million.

If anyone needs this kind of help in Central Oklahoma, please feel free to pm me.
Always good to help out a fellow car guy.

The ebay ad was ended early. What was up with the seller's rant about the title numbers not matching the car, only discovered after someone looked at the paperwork?

The car originally had a 6 cyl engine. The car was registered with the engine number (not the Serial number in the door jamb). That wasn't unusual for 1953. Many cars have had updated registrations to sub the Serial number for a motor number.

The number on the title is a valid 1953 Studebaker engine number, so I am certain that is what happened with this one. The seller recently bought the car, and has not even registered it in his name in OH. Car came out of MO. Feel bad for the seller, as he bought the car not knowing of some hidden MAJOR rust damage, nor some mechanical issues, let alone the title issue. He isn't able to work on it himself, and is taking a serious haircut on the deal. Supposedly he has a buyer here in OK, but not me.

I THINK I would have been able to deal with the title issue, but wasn't willing to deal with the rust. Really hard to believe someone would take it down to bare metal and NOT repair the rust before painting. Bad hack job. I love that body style (53 and 54... way ahead of its time). I was planning to sell off the ZZ572 and the blower set up along with the T400 tranny, and put the hood back stock, install an LS with OD.
