Thanks,

Dan,
This particular Cutlass is not a 442 and there is no solid evidence presented to prove that it is indeed a factory built W-31. It has been discussed on the classicolds.com site where the cars authenticity has been called into question.
The "restoration" has some issues which can be corrected to bring it back in line with what showroom stock a W-31 should look like.
I don't know the car personally, but it features a Kool color combo and some nice options.
Consider it a nice Cutlass with some nice options added to it, unless proven otherwise.
Here are a pair of Aegean Aqua / Pearl W-machines from 2015 Olds Nationals

Great stuff gents - thanks so much. I've relayed the message and told him to proceed with caution.
Now does anyone have a real 442 with the original motor for sale? projects are ok too.
Thanks,
Dan

I have a 442 original engine project car for sale in classifieds for $6,500.00
Regarding W-31s.
eBay W31 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oldsmobile-Cutlass-/121851978599?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1c5ef1a367:g :g-QAAOSwCQNWgyBX&item=121851978599)
Here is a real deal W-31 with docs.
However:
Color Change from Green / Green
Not orig eng, not orig trans, has W27 Cover NOT rear end housing, restamped carb ($2,500.00) missing XT steel wheels......etc etc.
Hook up with Steve Minore he's out your way and knows of a project or two.

Is that Tony's car?

If your asking about the Red F85. It was traded to that dealer in Fort Wayne Indiana. I don't know who owned it prior.
Tony Viti's local red F85 W31 was born a Red on Black car.

That's horrible... they added the wood grain dash trim to an F-85 as well as the eight track, sport wheel, wing, etc... The F85 W-31's were really sweet because they were stripped down hot rods... still has the spartan seat covers, but the upgraded door panels, dash, etc. just kill it.
